The AV Specialist is primarily responsible for the operation, maintenance, and end-user support of Audio/Visual equipment at Mercy. They provide on-site technical support and preventative maintenance for multi-media operations in client meeting rooms. They provide analysis of audio-visual needs and recommend technologies and processes to achieve them. They interact with executive, educational and routine meeting environments. They are also asked to provide first-level support of computer-related issues as needs dictate.
Must possess a high school diploma or GED. Should have 2 years of experience supporting AV equipment. Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize one or more of the following: Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Meditech (if applicable to position), Epic (if applicable to position), and Performance Manager/NetLearning. Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language in an understandable manner. Must be able to work independently and possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action. Must possess the ability to effectively communicate and deal tactfully with other personnel, visitors, patients, physicians, customers, and the general public. Must be flexible, have personal integrity, and have the ability to function effectively as a team with other employees. Must be able to follow written and oral instructions. Other Requirements: Computer technology including system software, hardware, networking. Analytical capability to research and resolve technology issues/problems. Customer Service/Communication skills, verbal and written. Microsoft PowerPoint and other presentation software. Crestron and/or AMX Control Panels. Polycom video conferencing devices. Standard audio devices (projectors, speakers, etc).
