The Joint Program Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining and improving the Total Joint Replacement Program systems and processes. Serve as the day-to-day director of the Total Joint Replacement Program (Program). Supervise and directs the organization of the Destination Total Joint Replacement Program. The Joint Program Coordinator (JPC) will coordinate the efforts between surgeons, hospital administration and staff while tracking the progress of the Program and identifying areas requiring attention. The JPC is responsible for overseeing all management, report generation and review, process improvement, patient satisfaction, facilities review, operating budget and administrative activities within the Program. JPC acts as a chairperson for Program projects, key meetings and work groups.
Must possess a high school diploma or GED.
Minimum of 5 years of experience, orthopedic experience preferred.
License Requirement: Must possess RN, PT, PA-C or CRNP.
Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize one or more of the following: Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Meditech (if applicable to position), Epic (if applicable to position) and Performance Manager/NetLearning.
Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language in an understandable manner.
Must be able to work independently and possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
Must possess the ability to effectively communicate and deal tactfully with other personnel, visitors, patients, physicians, customers, and the general public.
Must be flexible, have personal integrity, and the ability to function effectively as a team with other employees.
Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
Superior oral and written communication skills.
Proven ability to communicate with patients, family and staff in a professional, friendly manner.
Proven working relationships with surgeons.
Experience with patient/staff education.
Proven leadership experience, having managed resources either directly or within the implementation of a new initiative.
