Shared Services: Internal Audit (Full-time, Day Shift) - Our mission is to continue the teaching and healing ministry of Jesus Christ. The Manager-Internal Audit performs professional and independent internal audit projects in congruence with the LLUH mission, vision, and values under the supervision of the Director. Plans, supervises, and conducts operational, financial and/or compliance audit projects in conjunction with internal and external audit plans. Identifies entity risks and assists in development of risk-based audit plan. Evaluates internal controls and develops management recommendations; provides consulting and investigative services to the organization's management and staff; and conducts research and tax review for compliance with federal and state tax and other regulatory agencies. Performs other duties as needed. Bachelor's Degree in accounting or related area required. Minimum five years of accounting, public accounting or internal audit experience required, preferably within a not-for-profit, healthcare, or university environment preferred. Minimum one year of supervisory experience preferred. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) certification required. Proficiency in application of GAAP accounting principles and audit standards established by the AICPA and/or IIA. Knowledge of federal, state and county tax regulations. Able to read; write and speak with professional quality; use computer and software programs necessary to the position (e.g., Word, Excel, Power Point, Access); operate/troubleshoot basic office equipment required for the position. Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; provide leadership; be assertive and consistent in enforcing policies ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, rules and laws; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; lead, supervise, teach, and collaborate; accept direction. Able to communicate effectively in English in person, in writing, and on the telephone; think critically; work independently; perform basic math and statistical functions; manage multiple assignments; compose written material; work well under pressure; problem solve; organize and prioritize workload; recall information with accuracy; pay close attention to detail. Able to distinguish colors as necessary; hear sufficiently for general conversation in person and on the telephone, and identify and distinguish various sounds associated with the workplace; see adequately to read computer screens, and written documents necessary to the position.
