Temporary Part-Time Program Aides

The assignments exist in our Community Services Department, which oversees recreational programs and activities for the City

Assignment Details

part-time with an average of 20 hours per week $14 per hour The assignment duration is unknown, but typically long-term since the department has programming/activities throughout the year Seeking a good attitude, enthusiasm, someone who is willing to learn, has the ability to use good judgement, and follow oral and written instructions Required background check and drug screen For this role, you might be required to have to drive in company vehicles to different sites/locations and/or be required to drive your own vehicle to sites

The hours of operation for the assignment are as follows:

Monday through Friday

9 AM to 5 PM


7 AM to 3 PM


7 AM to 12 PM

Example of Assignment Duties

Under general supervision, to provide routine clerical and administrative support to an assigned program including word processing, data entry, telephone and counter reception, receipt of payments, processing of invoices, recordkeeping, and filing; to provide program-specific information and assistance to the public, department and City staff, and other stakeholders; and to perform related work as required Operate modern office equipment including computer equipment and software Operate a motor vehicle safely Schedule and coordinate projects; set priorities Work cooperatively with other departments, City officials, and outside agencies Respond to requests and inquiries from the general public Organize and delegate work assignments Learn pertinent procedures and functions quickly and apply them without immediate supervision Maintain accurate records Plan and organize work to meet schedules and timelines Understand and follow oral and written instructions Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing Perform responsible information and referral coordinating work involving the use of independent judgment and personal initiative Exercise good judgment, flexibility, creativity, and sensitivity in response to changing situations and needs
