The Service Technician – Roadside performs preventative maintenance, diagnoses, and makes advance repairs at various remote/roadside locations. This position is responsible for ensuring company equipment is running at optimal performance. The Service Technician – Roadside determines the causes of failure and implements strategies or corrective measures to ensure failures do not reoccur. This position is responsible for various activities, including but not limited to cleaning, maintaining, assembling, and reconditioning equipment.
Essential Functions:Operates, inspects, troubleshoots, performs diagnostics, identifies defects/malfunctions, and determines required repairs on heavy and/or hydraulic equipmentRepairs or overhauls mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipmentPerforms preventative equipment maintenanceDocuments and submits all necessary paperwork in an accurate and timely mannerEnsures work environment is safe for allFollows all safety policies and uses PPE properlyMaintains availability for after-hours service callsPerforms other duties as assigned
What You’ll Bring to the TeamTwo (2) or more years of heavy equipment mechanic experienceDemonstrate knowledge of various systems, including but not limited to: hydraulic systems, mechanical drives, electrical systems, and diesel enginesMust be knowledgeable of DOT standards and requirementsMust have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving recordMust be able to meet all physical requirements of the positionPass all drug and alcohol screens as required by Company policy and, if applicable, required by DOT regulationsBe at least 18 years of age, or 21 if CDL is requiredLegally authorized to work in the United States
