Youth Villages is a nonprofit organization striving to help troubled youth and families live successfully. We are a team of 2,900 individuals who’ve come together across 15 states to change the landscape of child welfare and juvenile justice across the country. Our work involves providing an array of counseling and treatment services to youth with severe emotional and behavioral problems.
We are looking to make a new addition to our Research team! This position is remote within the USA. The ideal work hours are 8:30am to 5:00pm CST.
The position will include the following:Develop and publish reports using SQL Server Reporting Services, SQL, MYSQL and other reporting tools. Other duties will include responding to help tickets, troubleshooting problems and to resolve any issues users may have with new and existing reports. Interact with key business stakeholders to gain key insight into business opportunities for analytical and reporting needs of Youth Villages. Involvement in the software development life cycle, design, code testing, implementation, maintenance and support of applications. Responsibilities may also include extracting data from SQL Server, MYSQL, participation in data architecture design, report creation and optimization, ETL setup and maintenance, performance monitoring and systems analysis.
Design, develop and publish reports using SSRS and SQL to meet internal and external customer needs.
Interface with business users to identify business requirement, identify data mapping and extracts from various disparate database systems.
Work closely with key business users, project managers, data architects, dashboard developers, and database administrators during implementation of projects.
Test and validate report results for accuracy in coordination with customers.
Develop database objects like tables, views, stored procedures, and SQL queries to extract data from source systems.
Understand the ETL process for data extraction and loading into data marts as needed. This may include data migration projects and ad hoc queries.
Manage multiple projects efficiently and meet deadlines for assigned projects as per set priorities.
Use Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio, SQL Server Reporting Services, and other tools to extract and display data into various tabular and graphic reports as needed.
Use source code change management and data modeling tools to facilitate the documentation of reports and data warehouse activities.
Education & Experience RequirementsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Analytics, Engineering or related field (required) 7+ years of experience of IT experience (required) 3+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL server version 2012 onward (required) Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services, stored procedures, complex queries and views (required) Experience with Microsoft SSRS for report creation and publishing (required) Experience with Data Transformation Services and SQL Server Integration Services (required)
