Team Our Workspace ONE team builds, deploys, and operates global Workspace ONE SaaS services that serve as the Access and Intelligent Hub services platform for the digital workspace. As such, we work with a variety of AWS managed services (e.g., RDS Aurora, DynamoDB, Elasticsearch, SQS, SNS, CloudFormation) in addition to deploying numerous containerized micro-services and AWS Lambda functions. As the leader of our DevOps team, you'll have the opportunity to work with experienced and passionate engineers across Atlanta, Bangalore, Beijing, Palo Alto, and Sofia. Role Our team is seeking a Manager, DevOps - a player-coach with strong software development, SaaS operations, communication, and leadership skills. Your team owns key components of our deployment pipeline and all of the code that represents our operational infrastructure. You will participate in all phases of development including requirements definition, design, coding, unit testing, debugging, performance tuning, deployment and ongoing operations. Day-to-day activities include: Providing technical leadership and direction for the team Working with the team to troubleshoot and resolve pipeline and production issues as they arise Conduct incident reviews, analyze failures, and identify corrections to prevent recurrences Ensure compliance with security standards including periodic reviews of controls and audits Promoting a culture of high ownership, continuous improvement, and engineering excellence Improving development practices and tooling Overseeing compliance and security programs Removing obstacles Teaching and mentoring Individual technical contributions (e.g., writing code) about 20-40% of the time Recruiting and growing the team Required Skills 5+ years of hands-on experience in software development using Python, Ruby, Go, or Java. Leadership experience running a project or team of 4+ engineers Excellent system design and object-oriented design and development skills Extensive experience automating the deployment and ongoing operation of multi-region cloud services. Strong networking background (routing, switching, proxies, firewalls, DNS, etc.) General Unix or Linux expertise Excellent oral and written communication skills BS or MS in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent industry experience. Preferred Skills Strong security background (PKI, WAF, scanners, firewalls) Experience managing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or Concourse Experience with CloudFormation or Terraform and the AWS API Experience using Ansible, Saltstack, or similar technology. Experience with identity, monitoring, and logging services Experience with AWS ECS or EKS and containerization technologies such as Docker.
